KTEC
Kootenai Technical Education Campus (KTEC) is a joint venture between the Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, and Rathdrum school districts to create a professional technical school. After an increase in demand for vocational programs from local industry sectors, KTEC was created to fill that need of the community. The campus provides students the ability to learn the necessary skills to enter the workforce upon graduation or continue their education at PTE program at a local college. Programs offered at KTEC include welding, auto and diesel mechanics, manufacturing engineering, computer programming and repair, construction technologies, and a CAD program. In addition to the workshops which house the technical programs, support spaces were included so the administrative backend of the school operates smoothly. The support spaces include an administration area, meeting rooms, a commons for student gatherings and after school displays, and general classrooms.
