Nezperce Regional Emergency Services Facility

The City of Nezperce Fire Department, the Nezperce Rural Fire Department, and the Nezperce EMS decided to pool their resources to construct a joint services fire station in the City of Nezperce. Located in the heart of the Camas Prairie with the Clearwater and Nez Perce National Forests nearby, the new 9,000 SF facility provides each of these agencies with a modern fire station to centralize their operations and share their resources. Before completing the new station in 2018, the other facilities were nothing more than storage sheds scattered throughout the town.

The new fire station includes fire department HQ, five double-deep apparatus bays which house two ambulances and eight fire fighting vehicles, a sleeping room and living facilities for fire and emergency operations personnel, a kitchen, fitness room, bunker storage, decontamination room, and a community room that provides space for training and meetings. The new station is also designed to meet the requirements of agencies and laws including ADA, as well as local and state adopted building codes.
