Shoshone Fire District No. 2 | Kellogg, ID
The three fire engines, brush truck, and ambulance that were exiting from the fire station constructed in the early ’50s as a part of the Kellogg City Hall, are now responding to emergencies from their new home.
At one time, a premium price was paid to order fire trucks that would fit inside the old fire station. Fire vehicles will now easily be housed within the four apparatus bay station; no more storing vehicles outside. The new station also provides sleeping quarters for seven and living facilities for fire and emergency operations personnel; a kitchen; a decontamination room with an extractor; a workout/fitness room; and a community room that provides space for training, meetings, and public education. The new station is designed to meet the requirements of agencies and laws including ADA, as well as local and state adopted building codes.
